What are my chances of getting stationed on a virginia base in the navy?

I heard there was a wish list , where we would get a chance to put where we'd like to go ,and virginia beach or norfolk virginia are my top 2 choices is it likely I would get that . I will be at the BM school ... when I get my orders.

Pus smells like peppermint?

My toe was bothering me, so I went to trim the nail thinking it may be growing in, which I cleaned the area a clear liquid came from around there and it smelled like peppermint, same as my chewing gum that I chew a few times a week. No I wasn't chewing at the time and drooled on my toe. So what does this mean if whatever that liquid was under the skin/nail smells like my gum?

BLEACH&COLOR HAIR? Questions?

I am about to be 21 and want to do something fun with my hair like bleach sections of my hair then dye it a dark purple ..goin to sallys soo my question is... do I bleach my hair with a cap then wash bleach off with cap still on then put the color in? Or would I take the whole cap off and look for the bleached hair..i want small purple streaks around my head.. My hair is dark brown thick and wavy/curly. Also what to use after to keep hair real healthy

bleach it with the softest product you can find then get a trim if you can and use leave in conditioner and dye your hair pink :)

What Nursing School Should I go to in Hampton Roads, Virginia?

I recently went to Norfolk State University's open house and they accept over 100 applicants, but there classroom sizes and 20 to 30 plus and only 10 people at a time go out on clionicals. I have a friend who went to ECPI in Virginia Beach and she said it was awful there. I would be at community college another year if I wanted to apply to ODU or Sentara New Traditional Bachelor program. I'm currently focusing on staying @ TCC and applying to there's and NSU's Nursing Program, and a LPN program to keep my options open. Is there anyone else out there that went to ECPI's MCI school of Nursing and graduated?

Hi does this Navy sailor supposed to earn a Purple Heart?

A Purple Heart may only be given for injuries sustained in combat. In the Army we have the Soldiers Medal which is used to reward a Soldier for actions which if had they occurred in combat would have resulted in the awarding on a Bronze Star. So if a Soldier saves a person from a burning car at risk to his own life, The Navy doesn't appear to have a "Sailors Medal" so they would likely use an commendation medal or a Bronze Star for this.
