Why Do Male Dogs Hump Each Other?

In the animal kingdom, canines like dogs and wolves live in packs and each dog is ranked in the pack. The act of humping is what is called "mounting", which means that the dog "on top" is more dominant than the dog on the bottom. Since your dog is being mounted, it means your dog is probably younger than the other dogs, so his social status is relatively low.
