Help with moving to Virginia from Pennsylvania?

My mom said that we are going to be moving to Virginia. There is no way i can really talk my way out of it because she is set on moving and i guess my whole family is tired of Pa so there is about 6-8 of us moving down there (at different times). My question is what will it be like down there for me? When we move I will be at the end of 10th maybe the beginning of 11th grade. We will be moving to the Virginia Beach, Norfolk area. I was told that the main race there is African American, which I have no problem with but i was told they don't take kind to people of different races. (im half white, half puerto rican). Is this true? And how are the schools there? Whats to be expected as being the new kid from a different state? Thank You.
